Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure St. LouisEmployees from MRHFM including attorney Dawn Besserman will participate in the Komen Race for the Cure coming up in St. Louis on June 15. MRHFM employees will join The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL) and The Women in the Legal Professions (WILP) to support Crystal’s Crusaders team. Crystal’s Crusaders will walk and run in the name of breast cancer survivor and legal assistant at HeplerBroom, Crystal Holliway-Owens.

From the Susan G. Komen St. Louis website:

The Komen Race for the Cure Series is the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world. The Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure® raises funds for the local fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.

Seventy-five percent of the net funds raised through the Race stays in the St. Louis community to fund innovative breast health and breast cancer screening, treatment, education and support programs. The remaining 25 percent goes toward groundbreaking national breast cancer research programs, including vital research being done right here in St. Louis.

The 5th Annual Dine Out for the Cure is another great way to support Komen. Dine Out for the Cure is on Thursday June 13, 2013. More than 350 local restaurants listed on the website, have agreed to donate 20%, 35% or 50% of the day’s proceeds to Komen St. Louis.

MRHFM encourages the support of all cancer awareness events in the hope of finding a universal cure for cancer including mesothelioma cancer.
